Georgia Tiered System of Supports (GaTSS)
The Georgia Tiered System of Supports (GaTSS) is an integrated and data-driven multi-level prevention system that aims to address the needs of the whole child. By implementing a continuum of tiered supports, GaTSS integrates academics, behavior, and wellbeing. It emphasizes effective teaming and data-based decision making to foster a positive school climate and ensure success for both educators and students.
Integrated Tiered System of Supports
Just as weaving together the strands strengthens a rope, weaving together student supports and integrating intervention strategies strengthens the impact of a tiered system of supports.
Academics
Traditional multi-tiered systems of support focus solely on academic interventions. And while this component is vitally important to the work, it does not exist independently of other factors. Many times, issues are interrelated and require integrated responses.
