The State Board of Education will hold a public hearing for citizens in the Eighth Congressional District on Thursday, October 15, 2009.  The meeting will be held from 7-8:00 p.m. at Bleckley County High School, Auditorium, 155 Highway 87, Cochran.  The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments from citizens and educators regarding public education in the district.  Mrs. Wanda Barrs, the Board’s Eighth District representative, will conduct the hearing.  Persons wishing to speak should sign in upon arrival.  For more information contact Lynn Roberts at 404-657-7410.
