Ms. Linda Zechmann to Host State Board of Education First District Public Hearing

             The State Board of Education will hold a public hearing for citizens in the First Congressional District Thursday, October 22, 2009.  The meeting will be held from 7-8 p.m., at the Appling County Schools Office, Board Room, 249 Blackshear Highway, Baxley.  The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments from citizens and educators regarding public education in their districts.  Persons wishing to speak may sign in upon arrival.  Ms. Linda Zechmann, the Board’s First District representative, will conduct the hearing.  For more information contact Ms. Lynn Roberts at 404-657-7410 or by e-mail:  lroberts@doe.k12.ga.us.
