Superintendent Cox visits Dougherty County Schools
|
State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox visited with students, teachers, administrators, and community members in Dougherty County on Thursday, October 22. She visited two schools in the district and spoke with teachers and students. At Alice Coachman Elementary School, she congratulated faculty and students for recently being named a National Blue Ribbon Award winner. She also visited several classrooms and met with a group of teachers. At Merry Acres Middle School, Superintendent Cox also visited several classrooms and met with a group of teachers, counselors, and administrators, to congratulate them on making AYP. Later, Superintendent Cox visited Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she learned about the unique partnership between the hospital and the local schools.
