Superintendent Cox speaks to students at LaGrange High School
|
State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox visited with students, teachers, administrators, and community members at LaGrange High School on Thursday, October 29. Superintendent Cox spoke to the sophomores at the high school, as part of the school’s Operation On-Track 012 program, which brings community members to speak about career opportunities and encourage students to work hard and stay on-track for graduation. Superintendent Cox shared with the students a video of her appearance on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? and encouraged students to share the never-give-up attitude that she employed on the show. She also shared the success of the state’s improving graduation rate and encouraged the 10th graders to work hard so the class of 2012 could push that graduation rate even higher.
