State Schools will apply for the Title IV Ed Flex Waiver for FY24. The waiver will allow our division to use the FY24 allocation for well-rounded education and safe and healthy activities. We do not plan to use this specific funding for the purchase of technology which is also an allowable expense. We are asking that the requirement of 15% of these funds be used for technology purposes be waived for this fiscal year which will enable us to spend the funds in ways that best support our identified needs in our Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan.

Waiver of Title I, Part A Limitation on Carryover – ESSA Section 1127(a) (Unspent Title I, Part A FY23 funds carried over to FY24) The waiver will allow State Schools to access all the funds not expended in the FY23 school year and help the schools to continue to meet their needs, goals and actions steps.  The funds will be used to continue the after-school programs for academic achievement and for professional learning to ensure staff are receiving the latest information for elevating literacy and academic achievement in the areas of DHH and Visual impairment to help students meet their highest level of independence.
