Matt W. Donaldson was appointed as the Twelfth District Representative to the State Board of Education on January 12, 2021. Donaldson is the Vice President of Durden Banking Company, Inc. in Twin City. In 2015, he was elected to the City Commission of the City of Twin City, and he was elected Mayor in 2019. Donaldson is a graduate of East Georgia State College, Georgia Southern University, Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia, and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.​​
